Prayer Items

We talk with our friends about all kinds of things.  In the same way, we should talk to God about everything that is happening in our lives and how we feel about it. God wants us to tell him when we are happy, sad and afraid.  He wants us to ask him what we want for others and for ourselves.  Also, when we pray we give God an opportunity to work on us.  God has told us to pray.  Our prayers show that we obey and trust him to work in our lives.

You can talk to God wherever you are, at any time.  But we need special times and places to pray everyday,
in order to help us get into the practice of talking with God.

Philippians 4: 6-7 [New International]

6Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus
